Day 50
LVMEN - An Anthology Of Previously Released Songs CD

Anniversary catalog numbers tempt to make anniversary releases. We were getting a lot of request about Lvmen 12" repress and its possible CD issue and thats where our thoughts about Lvmen anthology CD began. Things accelerated when Lvmen got back together and after we ran out of the "Raison d'etre" CD's (one of our biggest backcatalog sellers), we were set. It's unbelieve how the band managed to achieve such a large and loyal following - after all they left us with just 7 recorded songs and there was 4 years break between their new chapter. More than that, they anyhow managed to draw new people interested in their music and visual art, which is something most of the bands can only dream. It's fair to say they probably owe part to later bands like Isis or Red Sparowes who made similar sound so popular lately.
"An Anthology Of Previously Released Songs" contains all songs from "Raison d'etre" album and self titled 12" which was previously available on vinyl format only and is out of press for a few years. In total 7 long opuses, tersely named "Lvmen 1.... Lvmen 7", over one hour of desperation.  Long and groovy songs where Lvmen build dark, monumental sound walls and tear them down with atmospheric instrumental fields. Teasing keyboards, captivating female vocal and sampled sequences from 60's movies will leave you with ruffled nerves. That all is tied together by astonishing drummer. Brutal music blending the apocalypse of Neurosis, math-metal of Isis, desperation of Swans and nervousness of Slint' "Spiderland" album. CD comes with remastered sound and with whole new artwork as a digipack edition.
Listen to "Lvmen no 3" here.
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 52
THE YELLOW PRESS - Comfortable Curses LP/CD

Established in early 2002, the Yellow Press  has been steadily repairing  a Chevy Club wagon and driving many hours to make the big rock in little places. This has included most of Europe and the continental United States, a far cry from the Marin Yacht Club where they first met. Thankfully, the fame about outstanding live shows along with previous recordings made it to our office. After spending a few days dancing around a table while listening to "Dead Man¹s Shoes³ off their 7³, decent amount of messages sent forth and back and a lot of stress - the new album "Comfortable Curses³  is out right in time for their 2nd European tour!  Musically speaking, the Yellow Press are most certainly in that post-punk realm where the object is to get the audience to shake their asses and clap their hands. But their vehemence and urgency differentiate them from the majority of other bands drawing the inspiration from similar basement and brings the heavy 90`s emo hardcore and "DC" rock influencies on the mind. After a brief look into history its not surprising - vocalist and bassist  Steven Chamberlain used to play in inspiring band Torches To Rome (with album on Ebullition).
The Yellow Press build their songs around punchy drums and extremely loud bass with supple, pulsing guitar and keyboard lines. Sharp vocals  help to create an extremely catchy and danceable music that is rarely found in this presently oversaturated genre. Those who saw their show will agree - no matter how much you are worrying about your ears during their first song, you find yourself screaming for more volume just a few songs later. The Yellow Press proved that on many shows with such bands as JR Ewing, An Albatross, Against Me!, The Panthers, El Guapo, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Erase Errata, Yaphet Kotto, The Locust, Kill Me Tomorrow and Thunderbirds Are Now! among many others.
Summary: As alarmed as early Panthers or Liars, as urgent as your favorite 90`s emohardcore band, as smart as early Fugazi.
Listen to "Sixes And Sevens" here or "We Will Win While You Sleep" here.
LP - 9 EUR / 11 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 51
LANDMINE SPRING - Love With Silver Spears CD

Right on time for the 11th anniversary is coming the new album by Landmine Spring, one of the longest running band coming out of Czech indie/punk scene. A lot of people expected Landmine Spring going down after their second guitar player and founding member Jiri left the band to join Sunshine. But with the intervention of fortune they found a replacement in Jarda, their friend and awesome guitar player who recently moved back to the city from UK and saved the band. Listening to "Love With Silver Spears" brings on the mind the general feeling that this must be a younger, freshier and enthuiastic brother of the old Landmine Spring as we knew them! Their new songs are narroved, with simplier structure and pleasant vocals while keeping the integrity and drive from previous recordings. Catchy and light melodic lines contrast with intensive guitar sound and astonishing drummer. The new Landmine Spring album sounds similar to the decently blended mixture of later Jimmy Eat World with indie bands like Christiansen or Dismemberment Plan and for fans of guitar driven indie/rock music a guaranteed listening pleasure.
Listen to "Love With Silver Spears" here or faster one  "Look Out" here.
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 49
CHILDREN OF FALL - Bonjour Tristesse LP/CD

Sometimes its worth to arm yourself with patience and give the band a trust. I had just an obscure idea about the direction Children Of Fall, now fully international band with one half living in Malmo while second half hailing from Copenhagen took since their critically aclaimed 2002 album "Ignition For Poor Hearts". A few years later I listen to their new album and I feel released. "Bonjour Tristesse" is an excelent record where Children Of Fall explore new horizons both instrumentally and lyrically. Each song builds itself with a groove, sophisticated guitar riffs blend and reinforce eachother while driving bass & drums alliance gives the songs almost the epic dimension which is in second attacked and destroyed by intense, desperately sounding vocals, singing  extremely well-written lyrics. Children Of Fall blend the best elements of mid 90`s style emo hardcore like Grade, 400 Years or Yage with desperate intensity of Planes Mistaken For Stars and older Cave-In or Isis.  Album is packed in a special cartoon slipcase jacket with massive, thick  booklet.
Children Of Fall  recently toured Europe for 3 weeks which turned out really well. People seem to be curious about their new songs and more importantly they seem to like them! There is a big tour planned for this summer and confirmed festivals in Trier and Karlsruhe (both Germany), Ieper fest in Belgium, Fluff fest in Czech Republic and more festivals in Sweden etc. Check them out! LP version now available!
Listen to title track "Bonjour Tristesse" or "Last Call For Anarchism" here.

Day 48
CHALLENGER - When Friends Turn Against You 12''/CDEP

The five song follow up to their awesome debut album on Jade Tree! CHALLENGER, which features MILEMARKER'S backbone and main creative forces, Al Burian, Dave Laney and Noah Leger, is no mere project or one-off, but rather an entirely new group that builds upon MILEMARKER'S intensity, yet offers something wholly different.  Reminiscent of the abrasive and pummeling energy of bands such as HUSKER DU, PEGBOY and FUEL,  CHALLENGER are taking the classic guitar driven punk to the new horizons. Non-stop, scratchy, fuzzed out guitar riffs are fighting with the strict, pounding drum beats. Teasing vocal of Al Burian versus Dave Laney"s screaming is filling up the room and the parts where their vocals meet create a genuine harmony.  Fabulous melody is squeezing through rusty, distortant sound which is a reminiscent of the classic guitar-determined origins of indie-punk music. Yes. Challenger songs sound familiar.  Challenger is not developing the original music style. But the ignition and adult concept is the proof that CHALLENGER is nevertheless creating something new.
Mastered by John Golden.  First vinyl press comes with the classic inner disco sleeve.
CHALLENGER toured USA with From Ashes Rise, Strike Anywhere, toured Japan in may and toured Europe in september/october.
Listen to Crash Course In Crashing here.

Day 47
ENDSTAND - Burning Bridges LP/CD

Two years after the release of the critically aclaimed album „Never Fall Into Silence" is Endstand back with the new album for Day After. These wise guys from Finland became lately one of the favorite bands in present European punk and hardcore scene and gained many devoted fans all over the world, which is the natural result of their constant touring, releasing schedule and the strong reputation as an awesome live band.  „Burning Bridges" is the album which comes out of the band`s present sound - it`s a fast, hard hitting hardcore with intense vocal. In fact, its much harder than their previous album „Never Fall Into Silence". Endstand don`t follow the usual trend of getting melted down, they  withstand the current virus of scream/sing vocals and pop parts in the song structure. Janne, Endstand` singer said - „we could easily do another Never Fall Into Silence record - but we didnt want that. We didn`t want to get more mellow as well. In fact, we took an opposite direction."  First seconds of the new album proved he didn`t lie.  Can you imagine bands like Hope Conspiracy or Unbroken covering  the Endstand songs from the „Never Fall Into Silence" album?  You are getting close then. Indeed, the new songs sound familiar, you can hear the typical Endstand explosive riffs with intense vocals, brilliant guitars and catchy slower parts but the sound as a whole is rough. While „Never Fall" was an album you could sing along after the first listen, you will need more time to discover all the „hooks`picks" of the new one - but then it really works! „Burning Bridges" is the record which will make the old fans happy and will draw the attention of new crowd of fans who like their music hard. For fans of Strike Anywhere, Kid Dynamite, Give Up The Ghost or Hope Conspiracy! CD comes with a slipcase over the jewel box, LP with a solid inner sleeve.
Endstand will tour Europe in october 2004 to promote the album. The band is
awesome live and they proved it on their eight previous European tours!
Listen to "Never Good Enough" here or catchy one "Soul Too Cold" here.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 46
A.M. THAWN - Coalition: Now LP/CD

The day when this record arrives from the pressing plant was expected here with impatience. AM Thawn belongs to one of my favorities since their brilliant album Victorian Leaves and after the impressing show with The Robocop Kraus (who became their eager A.R. agents) Day After signed the band for the new album. The result is "Coalition: Now", ten song album capturing the immeasurable evolution AM Thawn went through. Coalition: Now is about controlling the space. The band is building with adult use of technical virtuosity in the „less is more" style songs consisting of groovy beats which are filled with supple, spastic guitar sound and decent keyboars underlines. Musically, AM Thawn are somewhere between the DC rock representing by Q And Not U and NY art punk like Les Savy Fav with a decent Gang Of Four flavor in the guitar lines.
The album was recorded at "Studio Ultramarinos Costa Brava" (Sant Feliu, Spain) with Santi Garcia (Stand Still, Aina, One Man And His Droid etc) and has awesome, warm sound with emphasis on pulsing bass sound and kick drum which will correct your heartbeat. Guest voice in one song was provided by Artur (Aina, Nueva Vulcano). The album is packed into awesome artwork with astonishing concept (CD in a digipack).
First press in a limited colored vinyl edition.
Listen to "Shape" here or dancey "Bleep-Beep" here.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 45
NINE DAYS WONDER - With Euphoria CD

Day After is very proud to license the latest album by Nine Days Wonder, awesome synth/punk band from Tokyo, with previous album and split with No Knife on Dim Mak, Catune and Nova Records. With Euphoria was previously released on 9DW's very own Catune Records and unavailable outside Japan which we are trying to change! Its one of those albums you either after just 10 seconds love or hate completely and one of our favorite albums lately. Ten songs of extremely catchy, keyboard driven math rock with a decent post punk feel. For fans of No Knife, Radio 4, The Robocop Kraus or The Faint. Go try yourself, listen to "The Color Collapse" here.
Nine Days Wonder toured Europe in april/may 2004 with A.M. Thawn. Haven`t you seen this band live? You kind of missed out.
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 44
1000 TRAVELS OF JAWAHARLAL - Owari Wa Konai LP/CD

During The Robocop Kraus tour around Japan i saw a lot of bands which would make people crazy if they would ever make it to Europe - but 1000 Travels Of Jawaharlal was just a blast. Their intense live set forced me to sign this band for Day After right after their show! Awesome emotional hardcore with intense vocal, insane drummer and a slight touch of a melody brings back the spirit of mid 90`s emo hardcore scene (Portraits Of Past, Yage, Torches To Rome, Bread And Circuits) blended with intensity of 80s DC bands (Ignition, Swiz) and furious sound of bands like Endstand. They proved it also on the album recording - I just gasped when i heard it first!
1000 Travels Of Jawaharlal toured Europe with Light the Fuse and Run (Richmond, Virginia, on Level Plane) in august and released the split EP with Aghast from France.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 43
LANDMINE SPRING - Sip Of Wine LP/CD

Third and brilliant album by Landmine Spring! The band spent a good part of last year in a rehersal room and the new recording shows the hard work and progress Landmine Spring went through. Twelve new songs of driving post emocore similar to Texas Is The Reason, Braid and No Knife mixed with DC rock sound, played with excelent musicianship. Landmine Spring music is fueled by awesome, creative drummer, beautiful and cutting-edge guitar sound, characteristic vocal and above all, the band is not affraid to rock! They've build up a strong reputation with their energetic liveshows in the past while sharing the stage with bands such as Boy Sets Fire, Avail, Fugazi, Braid, Leatherface, Jawbox or The Stereo among many others. Landmine Spring is going to spend a good part of this year on the road - they will play in Germany with Robocop Kraus in march, have booked a lot of shows for spring and full European tour is scheduled for the fall - check them live! Album comes in a beautiful artwork and vinyl version in a classic cardboard inner sleeve. The guitarplayer recently joined Sunshine on second guitar.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD

CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 42
THE ROBOCOP KRAUS - Living With Other People LP/CD

A lot of people has been waiting for the follow up to previous album Tiger, which gained the band a tremendous success. Things went really well for The Robocop Kraus - the band spread the Robo fame on tours around Europe, USA and Japan, was featured in a lot of press such as Ox, Visions, Spex, Trust, The Gap and many more and people went crazy on every single show they played! Meeting With Other People contains 12 new songs of typical Robocop Kraus trademark - catchy, pulsing music with creative guitar, outstanding organ and excelent vocal, this time more influenced by the 80`s rock sound of bands like Gang Of Four, The Wire, Talking Heads or nowadays Les Savy Fav and Radio 4. Enough of time for the recording and a good producer provided the recording a pleasant, warm danceable sound!
The new album is coming out as a split release between Day After and L`age D`or, one of the biggest indie labels out of Germany which will provide a strong promotion of the new album and band itself. Due to a very special packaging both formats are for higher price than usual, but its worth the price!
LP - 10 EUR / 12 USD
CD - 10 EUR / 12 USD

Day 41
NO KNIFE - Riot For Romance LP/CD

No Knife, an amazing emo rock band from San Diego with previous releases on Timebomb, Big Wheel Recreation, Slowdance and Dim Mak which sold over 35,000 copies cumulatively released 4th full lenght album on Day After! Over their seven-year lifespan, No Knife has released three full albums for TIME BOMB (home to Social Distortion, Sunny Day Real Estate, Quarashi, etc) and a slew of tracks for indie compilations and seven-inches. No Knife have toured the U.S. and Canada over a dozen times with the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Get Up Kids, Rocket From the Crypt, Sweep the Leg Johnny and many more and toured Japan last year. We hope to bring them down to Europe sooner or later as well!. While No Knife's music has developed a mature, rich quality over the years, they have maintained their characteristic cutting-edge sound incorporating hints of The Clash, Wire and Gang Of Four. The recording of No Knife "Riot For Romance" album was produced by Greg Wales from Australia who produced their last Timebomb album. Expect the expansive sound much like their most popular tracks on their previous album "Fire In The City Of Automatons" fused with the strong musicianship and driving post rock similar to Dismemberment Plan or Shiner! With this new release, No Knife continues to go about their way, combining post-punk energy with the sonic eloquence that has made them a classic.

Day 40
FOUR WALLS FALLING - Culture Shock LP

It's hard to believe but in 2003 is the 10th anniversary of Day After Records. Who would believe we will take it that far. I still remem coming to the pressing plant with a tape and two sheets of paper, saying this is a front and back cover... it was march of 1993. We wanted to celebrate it with releasing something special, cool and release anyhow related to our roots - here is the deal. Day After is re-issuing the vinyl version of Four Walls Falling - Culture Shock album! Four Walls Falling, influential political hardcore band from Richmond (Virginia, USA) defined the positive hardcore scene in early 90's and Culture Shock is definitelly a milestone in hardcore music and also one of my main influences in early stages of Day After Records. Vinyl version of this album has been sold out for 10 years now and we hope to present this album to the new generation of the new hardcore/punk kids all over the globe. Its going to be a benefit release for a good cause as well so this LP is going to be worth your money!
Listen to "Values And Instabilities" here.
LP - 8 EUR / 9 USD

Day 39
MILEMARKER - Satanic Versus LP

Day After is very proud to release the vinyl version of Milemarker "Satanic Version" MCD, recently out on Jade Tree Records. Half of Satanic Versus was recorded in Chicago with Steve Albini (Shellac, Neurosis, Nirvana, Pixies, Bloodlet) at monolithic Electrical Audio - three songs deliver on the promise of live shows - bombastic heaviness, drone epics, flailing anthems and polemics aplenty. The flipside is three songs the band Self recorded - three various and sundry Electro-jams, alternately recalling the precision and coldness of Kraftwerk and the crunktastic party-vibe of Around the World in a Day-era Prince with later The VSS-like darkness. Comes with a classic black disco sleeve. Milemarker recently toured US with Blood Brothers.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD

Day 38
ENDSTAND - Never Fall Into Silence LP/CD

Day After is very proud to release the new album by Endstand, amazing band from Finland! We have been fans of this band since their first album on Impression and after seeing their intense live performance we signed the band right after their show! Never Fall Into Silence proved that we can be smart sometimes. Their third full length brings us ten songs of fast, agresive but catchy hardcore with melodic edge and intense vocal, similar to Kid Dynamite, Strike Anywhere and Nerve Agents. With the new album they managed to capture their live energy on record - explosive sound with intense back ups will kick your ass as it kicked ours!
The LP version has been currently repressed on limited white vinyl press.
Endstand toured Europe with Manifesto Jukebox last fall, toured Japan in january and finished their 9th (!) European tour in fall.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD

CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 36
ANYWAY - Golf Club LP/CD

After the self released debut single and split single with Point,  Day After released the new album by Anyway, amazing new band of Lvmen drummer. Anyway have that late 80`s, early 90`s DC sound with "SENSE OF ROCK" like late Rye Coalition albums, strong noisy garage punk sound like The Hives and whole lot more! Golf Club was recorded and mixed with fabulous Prague`s sound man Ondrej Jezek, known from his previous cooperation-works with Kip Beelman (UNWOUND, BUILT TO SPILL, SLEATER KINNEY) as well as Jonathan Burnside (MELVINS, HELIOS CREED, CONSOLIDATED). CD version contains the tracks from seveninches on the top.
LP - 8 EUR / 9 USD
CD - 9 EUR /11 USD

Day 35
RAH BRAS - Ruy Blas! LP

Vinyl version of their CD on Lovitt Records. After two CDeps on Lovitt and Vermiform Records, Rah Bras (with ex Mens Recovery Project and Hose Got Cable members) are ready to engage listeners once again with their concentration of melodic assault and spectacular beats. Consisting of a gigantic keyboard, bass, and drums, Rah Bras? music layers provocative vocals over tight little riffs and throbbing tempos. Ruy Blas! is an audacious concoction of pop presence and electronic abrasives that gallops the gamut from gamelan to garish. This ability to absorb an obsessive amount of rather disparate influences in order to create something so wholly new and uncontrived is a rare feat. That it comes together so effortlessly for this band awards them a certain genre-defining moment with this release. Rah Bras toured Europe in the fall.
LP - 8 EUR / 9 USD

Day 34
ENGINE DOWN - A Sign Of Breath 7"/MCD

The exclusive single from Engine Down, emo hardcore band from Virginia with ex members of fabulous band Sleepytime Trio which came out shortly before the "Demure" album. The single contains two songs on 7" and four songs on MCD, recorded at Inner Ear studios with Jay Robbins. In total three new songs and one remake of their song from "To Bury Within The Sound" album. The vinyl and CD releases has different cover art, CD comes in a digipack. The band  recently released the new album on Lookout Records and toured USA with Thursday, Sparta, Q And Not U etc.
7" - 3 EUR / 4 USD
MCD - 7 EUR / 8 USD

Day 33
SUNSHINE - Necromance LP/CD

Fourth album of this Czech trio! Sunshine took the world by storm with their previous Velvet Suicide album and the split with At The Drive In. The band spent bigger part of past five years on the road, touring all over Europe and toured USA twice with bands like At The Drive In, Murder City Devils, International Noise Conspiracy, Sparta, The Faint, Le Shok, The Locust. Their song Streamlines got to the Blairwitch II movie soundtrack which we found to be pretty crazy. SUNSHINE continues with their own neosexual mixture of noisy retro rock and psychedelica. NECROMANCE shows the next step in Sunshine's development and herebye prove they are setting new standards for a scene that definitely needs innovation. Their basic concept of songwriting has stayed all the same though. It`s as simple as unbeatable: drums and bass play a groovy rocking background on which frontman KAY alternates between singing, shouting, yelling, whispering and playing grand straight forward lines on his still heavy effectladden guitar (especially the loads of delay are his trademark). Necromance has the ability to draw interest from a wide variety of people as this album includes very different inspirations/feelings which all seem to converge in one great whole. Expect an album that combines elements of Punk, New Wave, Electro, Rock and Roll mixed together with an overwhelming 80's Glam-feel to it. Everything you loved on their previous album is here. except - MUCH BETTER!!!
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 32
THE ROBOCOP KRAUS - Tiger LP/CD

The popularity of this German band is growing with each live show they play. I was among many other who was caught a few years ago. Their impressive disco-punk mix of Les Savy Fav, Delta 72 style (without the retro aspect) with outstanding organ sound, upbeat rhythm section and amazing cabaret-like blast similar to World/Inferno Friendship Society is simply captivating. Their new album, recorded in the stylish ELCH studio (of Monochrome fame) has the same effect. Fourteen new songs which will turn a boring party in Rio Carneval. But dont get confused with funny name and strong sense of a humor. The Robocop Kraus lyrics are inteligent and thoughtfull. That is all in all very dangerous combination.
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 31
FOUR HUNDRED YEARS - The New Imperialism 10"

With their newest effort, The New Imperialism, Four Hundred Years have balanced acute commentary and self-perception. The first recording with Bull on bass from the band Policy of Three, this latest and last effort blends subtle, cutting irony and a call for social action. Not lost are their trademark furious rhythm section and commanding dual guitars combined with an explosive delivery that exits nearly as soon as it begins. On The New Imperialism, Four Hundred Years return to the incendiary, rawer qualities of their first album. Four Hundred Years couldn`t say goodbye any better. CD version out on Lovitt Records, available from Day After.
10" - 7 EUR / 8 USD

Day 30
ONLY IF YOU CALL ME JONATHAN - Red Friend LP/CD

After four seveninches on Day After and Diving Records, here is the new 10 song album. "Red Friend" combines intensive quitar driven indierock songs along with quiet, beautiful ballads, completed with outstanding, matured vocal. Remember Sensefield and Texas Is The Reason? Take the best parts of both bands with a slight touch of older Fireside and you might get close to Only If You Call Me Jonathan. The album is packed in beautiful, friendly cover and the 1st vinyl press includes free poster. Only If You Call Me Jonathan toured Europe with Elliott
LP - 8 EUR / 10 USD
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 28
LANDMINE SPRING - Your World 10"/MCD

The second album of this band from Czech Republic. We just swallowed while listening to the recording for the first time! Fresh and melodic emocore like Texas Is The Reason/Elliott mix with great powerfull sound! The album has a beautiful, eyecatching artwork on the top!
10" - 6 EUR / 7 USD
CD - 7 EUR / 8 USD

Day 26
REIZIGER - Grab and nailed 7"/MCD

Day After Records is really proud to release the new single from Belgian lovers! We have been asking these folks for a record since the Kosjer D was rocking out back in 95 (one of the best 90`s emo bands around, members now in Reiziger) Their pulsing, melancholic (may I say emo) music with a "DC" touch made them a lot of fans around. Reiziger - Grab and nailed is the bands` first single and contains two new songs (CD version has one long and calm acoustic opus on the top!). Here you have one of their best songs ever! Matured songwritting, great vocals and a diverse sound makes this intensive but catchy. The package is nice too - the 7" version comes in a gatefold cover sleeve, the CD version has a nice blue/flitter tray.
7" - 3 EUR / 4 USD
MCD - 5 EUR / 6 USD

Day 25
KEVORKIAN - Who Is Who 7"

The new 7" from this band from Prague (previous single and a split LP with Albion on Minority Records) is all about the simplicity. Kevorkian has been around for some years now, and they raised from that typical screaming emocore band to more straight forward sound. Here you have fast and intense HC like early Born Against mixed up with some harsh parts reminding the Florida emo/violence bands, metalic sound and screaming vocals. The cover holds the decent simplicity as well - two coloured printing with a decent silver color. Kevorkian - Who Is Who 7" is probably one of the most "hardcore" records on Day After!
7" - 3 EUR / 3 USD

Image

Day 24
SUNSHINE - Velvet Suicide CD

Classic third album Sunshine repressed now! You can forget already everything they did before. Velvet Suicide is much better produced (mastered at Fantasy studio in San Francisco), with addition of keyboards and somehow more mellow and easier to listen than their previous one, while still keeping that typical Sunshine sound. You can still hear their influencies going from Clikatat Ikatowi to Circus Lupus to PIL and the Cure with a hint of 80's post punk, but all transfered into one of the most unique music coming from the indie scene! They proved it on a lot of shows over the Europe and USA and toured with bans like VSS, Starlite Desperation, Reiziger, Locust, Murder City Devils and At/The Drive In. At/The Drive In also shared with Sunshine the split 12"/MCD which came out on Big Wheel Recreation.
CD - 9 EUR / 11 USD

Day 23
ONLY IF YOU CALL ME JONATHAN - September Malevolency 7

Third single from this sympathic Swedish band offers three songs of driving and catchy emocore like Pilot To Gunner/Giant's Chair/Texas Is The Reason. Last copies of the limited clear vinyl available.
7" - 3 EUR / 3 USD
